Sugar and Alcohol Producer
(power plants)

Steam and Power Generation (Boilers)
This is one of the most critical areas, requiring pipes that can withstand extreme pressures and intense heat. Boiler and Superheater Tubes: Seamless tubes (ASTM A106 and ASTM A213 standards) are used for water circulation and steam generation to power the turbines. Air Preheaters: New seamless steel tubes with greater resistance to corrosion and abrasion have been developed specifically to increase the service life of these components in power plants.

Sugar and Ethanol Processing
Direct contact with sugarcane juice requires materials that do not contaminate the product and resist oxidation. Evaporators and Cookers: Stainless steel tubes (especially alloys 304 and 439) are widely used due to their high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Alcohol Distillation: Stainless steel piping ensures the purity of the ethanol and resists the corrosive nature of the process.

Fluid and Waste Handling
Sugarcane Juice and Vinasse Lines: Vinasse is highly corrosive; therefore, stainless steel or carbon steel pipes with special coatings are necessary to prevent punctures and leaks. Utility Networks: Galvanized pipes (NBR 5580) are used for conveying industrial water, compressed air, and fire fighting, where the zinc coating protects against the humidity of the plant environment.

Structures and Equipment
Supports and Grinding Mills: Structural carbon steel tubes (NBR 8261) form the support bases for the grinding mills and the metal structures of the storage sheds.
Sugar and Alcohol Producer
(power plants)

In sugar and ethanol plants (the sugar-energy sector), steel pipes are vital due to the severe corrosion conditions caused by acidic substances (such as sugarcane juice and vinasse), abrasion, and high temperatures.
The main applications are divided among extraction, manufacturing, and energy generation processes:
